This Kitchen Used to Have Vinyl Flooring, White Appliances, and Formica Counters

Clients of mine recently sold their single family home in the Potomac Station subdivision of Leesburg. The home had not been their primary residence, as it was used as rental in the 6 years prior to me listing it. The house was in dire need of both updates and overall “cleaning up”. The client, along with one hired contractor, did the majority of the work to get the house ready to sell. Some contractors were hired to do some of the painting, as well as installing granite and ceramic tile.

“At first it was just me. I started with cleaning, power washing, and painting the upstairs bedrooms.”

A family friend was hired, but outside of carpet, granite install, and some of the hard to do paint, my clients did most of the work. I helped put a timeline of work together, as well as points of emphasis to focus on, and my clients knocked it out of the park. Meeting the time deadline, and getting the curb appeal, kitchen, and overall presentation of the house up to speed. The hard work resulted in a ratified contract just two weeks on the market, and a much better return on their money had the house just been sold “as is”.
